That looks like a bug involving user categories. It is possible that it is caused by you having deleted a custom column that was used in user categories. Is that possible?
Regardless, I can't repeat it so the only way to debug it is to have a copy of your metadata.db and the name of the tag to delete to generate the error. If you don't want to post your metadata.db here then you can email a zip file of the metadata.db to cal-bugs at charleshaley dot org.
