Before in this case; it's brand new and I'm assuming it's not yet updated to 5.18 so I'm hoping to keep it that way so I can apply the JB. Wary of activating it before I fully understand how to do that though.
The solution I have so far is to restrict Amazon's DNS servers, but we'll see how effective that proves to be. If the device auto updates during activation then I've got a problem.
