Hi there. I have a Kindle 11th gen (2022) G092AP. A couple days ago, it froze and now it's bricked.
The device boots fine, showing the tree with someone reading. The progress bar completes. The whole time the backlight is on until the end of the progress bar. After that, it never reaches the passcode prompt. When the power button is pressed to unlock, the backlight comes on for a second along with a green LED, then it just goes back to sleep.
Contacted Amazon support who were unable to help or replace the device.
I tried the following:
- Hold power button for 40 seconds
- Fully charged the device overnight and tried again
- Left it for a few days and tried again
- Removed cover, tried without cover, tried a different cover (thought it might be the magnet sensor)
I can see the device on my MacBook when connected via USB, but it's not in USB mode so I can't try a factory reset.

I've seen a guide for resetting via USB serial, but this doesn't look very easy to do. The kindle looks difficult to open, and soldering isn't my forte. I'd prefer not to destroy the kindle if possible.
Anyone experienced this and found a fix? Thanks!
