I had an MRI of my brain on Sunday. It was scheduled for March 11th but due to "equipment malfunction" they rescheduled for the 30th. I was not prepared for all the loud noises. I saw the neurologist on Monday. The MRI was normal for my age. I don't know what they expected to see, because concussion (which I had in swimming head to head collision on Sept. 3, 2024) doesn't show on MRIs or CT scans. I'd had a CT scan at the emergency room in late September.

This was my 2nd visit to this neurologist (first one I've ever been to) and she didn't do anything for me. At the first visit Feb. 24th, she said I was taking too much ibuprofen (two, twice a day, about 12 hours apart). So I tried not to take it and had a rough time for the next 5 weeks. The neurologist did refer me to a pain specialist (for my head pain), but I could only get February 2026 appointment. I will find another pain specialist or concussion specialist on my own. I will likely not get an appointment soon. I've been getting up too late to make the appointment yet. I was feeling to sick to do anything Tuesday.

The neurologist wants me to see my primary doctor about the high blood pressure readings I got in her office. This isn't normal for me. It has happened when I'm nervous or agitated (got little sleep the night before this appointment) and my primary has seen this but has also seen normal reading in the same visits, and she didn't think I needed to do anything about it. Teh neuro also told me at the first visit to follow up with knee doctor, and this time she told me to see an ear, nose throat doctor. The MRI showed mucus in my sinus cavity. I told her I went to an ENT regularly in the 1990s to about 2007 and went to one in 2020 for stuffy ear. I do use a lot of tissues, but it's allergies and when I have a cold I take a mucus thinner to prevent infection.
