USBNetLite works for me. Installed it, entries showed up in KUAL menu, enabled it, connected the Kindle to my computer over USB, set the matching network interface on the computer to 192.168.15.201 to be in the same Class C subnet as the Kindle's interface. Opened Putty, set the address, etc. to use to 192.168.15.244, port 22, SSH and connected. Logged in with the default credentials and no problems.

I'm going to assume that you downloaded the
Update_usbnetlite_1.0.P_install_khf_11thgenplus.bi n package? Installed it by copying to the MRPackages directory and then using KUAL's Install MR packages under the Helper menu item?
