Regarding the installation of the screen saver hack for versions 5.17 and above:
After jailbreaking, ensure that KUAL and Mrpi are functional.
Then, install usbnetlite via MRPI ( https://github.com/notmarek/kindle-u...ases/tag/1.0.M).
In KUAL, select USBNetLite -> Toggle USBNetwork.
Connect the Kindle to the internet, and SSH into the Kindle from your computer: `ssh root@[kindle IP] -p 22`. (The default pw is 'kindle')
Using WinSCP, execute the following commands in sequence:
1. `mntroot rw`
2. `ln -s /lib/ld-linux-armhf.so.3 /lib/ld-linux.so.3`
3. `mntroot ro`
After completing these steps, you can proceed to install the screensaver hack using Mrpi as usual.

First post here. ^
I did the WinterBreak Jailbreak on my PW5 about a month ago. I got the device just for the screensaver mod tbh as I wanna use it for Home Assistant. After I read the three step fix here I did so:
First I uninstalled the MR Package again, I installed the package for SSH access and got the three commands through. Then I reboot ed the device and instaslled the MR package again. Now I still am greeted with the default wallpapers shwoing up aka the mod did not work as it seems...
Gonna try a few more tricks, but as it seems my FW 5.17.1.0.3 is not happy with it...
