Hmmm... when I upgrade a PW4 to 5.18.1, I had to re-install the latest hotfix (copy to the root of the exposed storage, safely eject, open All Settings and run Update from the hamburger menu. Once the hotfix was re-installed, I ran it's booklet and then re-installed KUAL and MRPI. The jailbreak survived the update but the rest needed to be re-installed.
