Max Abbott, 1906-1954, had an emormously prolific career in the 1930s as a radio dramatist, writing series, serials and plays for the Australian Broadcasting Commission. Almost all of them have vanished, as they were originally broadcast live from a handful of typed scripts, which were ephemeral. He also wrote stage plays, and for a period also wrote articles in the press. He wrote a handful of novels, and a small number of short stories, all but one of which were published in Australian newspapers. The exception was an sf tale which appeared in the US magazine Wonder Stories in 1931, when he was 25.
This volume contains the recoverable newspaper stories, plus the Wonder Stories novella.
