Working OK for me in version 8.0 on Windows 10, I use them extensively; so, I'd really notice if it wasn't working. I don't connect Kobo so I haven't installed 8.0.1. I can do that easy enough.

Can you give an example of what's not working. e.g. what sort of link (book-details, view-book etc) and how you create the links

Are the links used within calibre (e.g. link "Brave New World" and "The Tempest"), or are they 'clicked' in another app. They stopped working for me in Firefox but the same links work in Edge. If the links are 'clicked' within another app, do they work as a desktop alias… if they do then it's the other app.

If you use inter-library links, I think you will break links if you rename a target library.

I don't use the recently added show-note feature.

Added: version 8.0.1 has no issues with calibre:// links
