Not sure why you would want to do that. For my uses, when Kobo added search to the Kobo GUI, collections went the way of the dodo.
Have you tried running a check on your database from the Kobo Utilities Database menu? And then a vacuum to clear out deleted entries. Just how many collections did you create? Have you tried removing them since it appears your issues started when you created tag based collections.

yes that's what I did, I used the arrow for that. that's what I meant , my bad
you mean using the search box ? can you search tags from there on kobo ? I didn't know. but anyway, it's more comfortable to have collections already organized , to me at least. is that a bad idea for speed and optimisation ?
i created 18 collections i think , less than 20 for sure . that's not a lot is it

I haven't removed them yet , but I'll try , however my fear is that the metadata changes are the cause for the slowdown haha . how can i remove all collections ? using calibre, or from kobo instead ?
