Why would not simply tap the arrow at the end of the title box to update the title sort entry? That would copy "The Murder on the Nile" title to "Murder on the Nile, The" title sort moving the article to the end. This would clear up the mismatch error without error prone typing.

Not sure why you would want to do that. For my uses, when Kobo added search to the Kobo GUI, collections went the way of the dodo.

Have you tried running a check on your database from the Kobo Utilities Database menu? And then a vacuum to clear out deleted entries. Just how many collections did you create? Have you tried removing them since it appears your issues started when you created tag based collections.
