In both cases the problem is reported in the plugin software:
  • The problem in 2.20.0 seems to be an interface problem by wrong invocation using the radiobuttons for the selection of the required kind of annotation removal.
  • The problem in 2.19.1 seems the problem which was supposed to be fixed in 2.20.0 (I've seen that one in the past before.)
Apparently the source build you use is different from the default build us mere mortals use
