Yes, the full 32gb backup I made of the new Page was flashed to the old page using "edl /w /s0 /c0 freshemmc.img /z" which did not affect the problem.
Technically it's under warranty but I didn't get it from an authorized seller so I have my doubts I'd actually be able to use it.
Also, yes even in recovery the device will shutdown either immediately or it will stay on the amount of time it would take your app to update the current value 20 times.
I have no idea how I'd go about fixing the pmic but if you have some ideas I'm okay with a soldering iron and have some resistors I can cannibalize from an old mobo. Otherwise if you're interested in buying it let's talk about that over dms
