I've tested on Scribe by 'extending' macos screen onto it. The responsiveness on wifi was ok for typing experience, especially given there were 3 hosts at play here. (Kindle kvn client connects to Linux Xvfb running xvnc server with uxplay as X application. Macos extends screen via airplay to uxplay.)

Oh wow that sounds amazing! Are you able to share the code that works with the other constant changed? Would love to give this a try to alleviate some eye issues. I am converting PDFs to EPUB already with
Bartik (the only one that seems to be able to do scientific papers) to be able to change font size of things as my eyes are pretty bad, would prefer to use eInk everywhere (wish everyone followed the PDF
accessiblity standards but oh well....).
Also playing around with Calibre now but local conversion isn't as good. But if I can Linux fully working on the Scribe that may be an option too to do it locally on the device.
