Device: Kindle Basic 3 (2019) Kids Edition FW: 5.13.6
Can't create a file in my kindle? Read-only error?

I everything was good until i reached this step:
"1. Connect the device to a PC and:
2. Create the directory .demo at the root of the Kindle storage"

I was able to create the .demo directory, and was about to continue with the jailbreak, however I think that maybe my usb cable was faulty or something and disconnected (I don't think there were any operations in progress though).

Now I no longer see my .demo folder (maybe I deleted it?)

The most annoying thing is that whenever I to create a file I get a "cannot create file error: Read-only file system

Are you supposed to eject your device from your pc every time you disconnect it? I suppose it doesn't hurt. I hope my storage isn't corrupted

Thanks in advance
