I really dislike it when others feel the need to try to take over words and/or abbreviations.

And as for your Rapid Serial Visual Presentation, it's as useful as Bionic Reading which in plain English means useless.

A good example of snake oil is the dyslexic font. It's been proven in scientific tests that those with dyslexia read better with a sans-serif font and sometimes color (no idea which color) helps as well.
