Today was very warm, with a high temperature of 70°F. It was very windy all day with winds around 20mph and gusts reaching quite a bit higher. We had light rain overnight, a break for most of the day, but it's raining now. Both the wind and rain should get worse overnight, with the possibility of thunderstorms. We're on the leading edge of the massive storm system that has been causing serious problems throughout the south and central states. As nasty as it's likely to get for us, it shouldn't be anywhere near as strong and dangerous as it has been so far.
