If you connect it to your computer using USB cable does it get detected as a removable storage drive?
If if does create an empty file with filename "DO_FACTORY_RESTORE" at the top of levelling of kindle drive then eject from your computer and press and hold power button on your Kindle for 15-20 seconds, until it force reboots.
If it doesn't get detected over USB cable then you now own a Kindle shaped paperweight...
