Not condoning illegal stuff. From a personal case when I was getting resources for homesteading there was a site that had a "free homestead on an acre guide" - downloaded it and glad I scanned it before opening it because it was infact dodgy.

I see a bunch of free pdf guides and stuff, a lot of times there is some great information, but every so often they can be scammy or be infected.

Heck I even had a book from Humble Bundle that threw flags on virus total some years ago.

I also collect user manuals for stuff, another area where you have to be careful.
