I tried copying all my ebooks into the Kobo app folder where I have 2 Kobo books presently but when I start up the Kobo app only the first 4 books of hundreds actually show up in the Kobo app library. How does one do this properly from Calibre on a PC to a tablet running the Kobo android app?
I don't know how you would use Calibre to do this, but I sometimes add the occasional book to my Kobo app on my Android phone. Usually just for testing purposes, not reading.

First, you need the files on your tablet/phone OR in Google Drive or Dropbox. Then, while in the Kobo app, click the little profile icon top right corner. Select import items and go where they are to select and import them. Done.

That said, why would you want to send hundreds? They will NOT sync with what is on your Kobo e-ink device. They are NOT sent to the Kobo cloud where your Kobo purchases are. There are far better apps to read with if you want to read your ebooks on your tablet/phone.
