Hey, got it working! The key was the dedrm auto release plugin. Works like a charm so far and no problems converting a few books to other formats. VERY happy that I kept so many old Kindles lying about. Though I suppose my new ColorSoft will work the same and will try that later to see. All the best, guys -- this is always the best online community to ask a question!!
