On the other hand, my 93 year old mother lives in a locked apartment building, too. I've seen Amazon drivers nod in an existing-agreement to the food workers, and one will meet him at the interior locked door and let him in. Later, he also gets access to the other side, separately locked. People usually have their Amazon packages delivered to their own doorway. I was astounded!

There is a mailroom here too, where USPS leaves mail and packages. Those boxes have to be picked up 9-4 from a desk person. That's more awkward, if you keep weird hours. The amazon delivery is really good.
