live distro, so Windows users can use it as well.

Maybe you have an old Netbook lying around or a laptop released before 2010?
My Kindle K4 displayed the `Repair Needed — Your Kindle Needs Repair. Please Contact Kindle Customer Service at http://www.kindle.com/support.` error. I managed to unbrick it today.
Some general tips:
- Be patient. Some steps take a very long time.
- I got stuck at some point. Disconnecting the USB cable fixed this.
