If the company treats the drivers like crap, that will flow downhill to the customers. There are some drivers who should never have been hired but I've seen too many people hired and ruined by lousy management.

One company that one friend of mine worked for was a fine example. In 2023, the company did well enough that it gave each of the executives about 25% of their annual salary as year end bonuses. The staff? Well, they got a free banana per staff member per day in the staff cafeteria for the Monday-Friday before the 4 day Christmas break. For some strange reason in 2024, they lost about 45% of their staff by the end of summer.
