As a recent example of price matching, I purchased an ebook at Kobo CA that was $23.99 while at Amazon CA, it was $19.99. As soon as I completed the purchase, I requested a price match which is the difference between the prices plus 10% of the competitors price so $4 + $2 which means the book ended up costing me $17.99. It took less than a hour from when I received the email receipt to when my refund was finalized.
