Yep - if calibre with no plugins still has no colours its more or less certain the problem isn't caused by a plugin.
Next thing to try is to Restart Windows in Safe Mode, if calibre column colours show up then its something that you run at start up. But I'd be surprised at that, interference from 3rd party software usually kicks in at a more fundamental level… calibre won't start, calibre can't add books, etc.
Aside: the ability to disable column colour and column icon rules would be useful.
