I hope this is the right place to seek advice..
I manually updated to the latest PW3 firmware as per LanguageBreak advice.
WinterBreak was not an option as the device is apparently blacklisted (lost property sales)
I then installed the jailbreak & all seemed fine & could still use wifi, reset, transfer files.
I transfered kual-coplate & koreader & ran ;log mrpi.
I was then able to attempt to run koreader via kual.
It failed, & i recall seeing some debug info for the launcher.
I believe I may have installed the wrong version of koreader after some more reading.
I then tried to mount to kindle again to add the correct koreader package, but the device is not showing in fdisk.
After unplugging the usb the device is frozen on usb transfer screen, so I soft reset.
At this stage I noticed the wifi is unavailable, & it's reset locked.
Tried to reset via demo mode, no joy.
I then deleted kual via the ui in a last attempt, again no joy.
Attempted reset by holding power for 60secs didn't work either.
Also can not transfer files via demo mode sideload.
;uzb has no effect either
I seem to be out of known options at this stage.
Are there any tricks I might not be aware of?
