I know first hand about bricking a Scribe, and I know that the dead battery screen will show in the boot order before the endless boot loop. Is there anything that will place some kind of recovery first on the boot order so that I can continue my tinkering without destroying another NAND? I want to be able to make a full NAND backup and be able to restore it.

Also, this got me thinking about the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Switch hacks with the ability to boot from "EmuNAND" allowing for the preservation of the original NAND...
