Activate the "Windows Sandbox" feature (Control Panel->Programs and Features->Turn Windows features on or off), then install whatever version of K4PC you want in the sandbox. You can also install Calibre and DeDRM and test all sorts of combinations. Close the sandbox and everything you did is gone, and none of it affected your actual Windows install.

Or, if you want to have a real testbed, spin up a VM using Hyper-V (another Windows feature) and install Calibre and DeDRM. Then, take a snapshot. After that, install K4PC or whatever else you want. If you don't like something, revert to the snapshot and try again.
