The advantage to that approach, is that unlike comparing lists of books, the plugin have algorithms to allow you to match books that have similar—but not identical—titles and authors. That's beautiful. Thanks. I've got it going. Tell me will it flag as a duplicate if one title is 'within' another? i.e. lots of my books come with titles with added stuff at the end usually the authors and sometimes another piece in brackets so that we get a title string something like :
"title author/s editor/s (source)" and in a 'completed' library I have taken all that extraneous stuff out and all that remains is: "title".
so now will duplicates still be flagged?
I guess I shouldn't ask I should try.....
