I cannot see Kobo going for LCP instead of Adobe DRM or a lot of Kobo users will lose access to a lot of eBooks and that includes Overdrive. I have eBooks bought from other stores other then Amazon or Kobo. If I did not remove DRM, none of them would ever be readable on a Kobo.
At worst case, maybe add LCP and keep RMSDK. But that could be the death of KePub if Kobo changed the software that read KePub for one that does LCP.
