I Survived the Great Amazon DL Dealdline!

It took me about 4 hours to download and cleanse my complete Amazon ebook library of near 600 books.

I have been casually backing up this book here, that book there for some time. But as Amazon is dropping this ability come February 25th, it was time to ensure I had backed up every book I've paid for.

Interestingly, there has to be about 200 books I've purchased and haven't read. I was a sucker for those $1/$5 deals for "the complete boxed set". And lots of books I MEANT to read, but just haven't gotten around to it yet.

I'm probably good for 5 or six years of never buying another books just to get through these.

But who am I kidding, I will still buy new books.

But Amazon will be the vendor of last resort now. I hear Kobo's books are still able to be liberated.
