Kindle Scribe was originally 'Kindle Scribe (1st generation)' but they seem to have dropped this generation stuff for it and now it is just Kindle Scribe - 2022 Release and Kindle Scribe - 2024 Release. I suspect if and when there is some future Scribe model that merits it, there will be a 2nd Generation one. They want to brand it as a separate product line, much like Apple does with iPad/iPad Air/iPad mini/iPad Pro (each of which have independent 'generations').

In any case it was never, and is not now, an 11th generation Kindle, according to Amazon.
