Unable to ignore device (PW6)

I would like to use rather "Connect to folder" than the usual Kindle device interface (because I run KOReader on the device). First, I tried to deactivate the kindle device interface, but this seems to be not possible. Then, opening the configuration dialog for the connected device, I clicked on the ignore button. But even this was without effect. After restarting calibre, it still connects to the PW6 device. Am I doing something wrong?

("Official" Calibre 7.26 on Arch Linux. PW6 uses MTP if that matters.)
