The only issue I have with margins and Kobo ereaders is that you can't set the L/R margins smaller than the CSS in the ebook specifies. I ran into one book that had the L/R margins set to 2cm (~.8 inch) in the body CSS selector. On my 6" Kobo Glo, that chewed up 4cm of the 9cm width or 44% of the screen area. One of the first books where I edited the CSS to set the default L/R margins to 0. Probably the start of my whole edit every ebook before reading it work flow.
