Hello,
A friend just gifted me a lightly used GL4+ (2023). It's been factory reset. To my horror it seems to require BN account before I can get started.

(1) Is there a way to use this without a BN account? (short of taking the device and use UART https://xdaforums.com/t/how-to-acces...ation.4096829/)

(2) Can this be rooted? I found a partial thread in https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=360563 but it seems inconclusive at best.

(3) Any tips on sideloading if it cannot be rooted? I do not know what version of firmware it is running since I can't get pass the registration screen.
