It depends on what you want to achieve. If all you need is to export highlights to dropbox then yes - this is good enough. In my case I use multiple koreader devices to annotate my books. Often the same book is being read on several devices concurrently. I can make highlights on one device and then switch to another, and back to the first one. So I need a solution that can synchronize the highlights without overwriting them across several devices. Finally, I export everything to obsidian for further processing of my notes.
