Thanks for that suggestion. However the first thing I did when I got the new iPad was to back up and restore the old one. Although Kindle was restored along with everything else, it wanted me to sign in again and unfortunately that doesn't work because that account and the email address associated with it are no longer active. So I just get an error saying something like "We cannot find an account with that email address". Either that or it says the account needs to be verified by sending an email, which of course I can't retrieve because that email no longer works.

So I just keep going in circles with this. It seems I'm not going to be able to retain access to those books. There are 4 of them, all musical texts, which I need for reference so I'll have to acquire them some other way. Which really annoys me because I bought them legitimately through Amazon and feel aggrieved that they won't refund me or agree to merge my two accounts or whatever. Maybe they simply cannot access my old account either..
