KOReader takes over the GUI framework, not the OS.
I didn't immediately call BS on your claim because I have no idea what KOReader does or doesn't do with the firewall and your sloppy terminology and I am morbidly curious about your twisted logic.
The OP didn't want logs to be sent to amazon. Updating KOReader over wifi
does put the kindle on line, which allows logs to be sent (and/or update firmware) even while KOReader is running.
Please provide evidence that KOReader can update
over wifi without being online or edit your post to remove that dangerous and false claim.
And
please stop making stuff up and trying to pass it off as fact.
