1. The first thing to do is to reinstall the latest firmware on your Voyage; you can find some guidance in this post.

Then, since the last supported software version for the Voyage is relatively old, it might be worthwhile to stick to the tried and true LanguageBreak method to jailbreak your Kindle, as it has been around for much longer than WinterBreak and bugs have mostly been ironed out; you will also avoid any complication related to the “soft float vs hard float” topic.
