I think I remember reading that someone managed to build python for the newer firmwares, so it’s technically possible, but I don’t believe there’s a publicly available build that can be used out of the box.

LibraSync is the only reason I jailbreaked my KOA2. To be able to manage collections through Calibre. Without that, it's a complete mess on the e-reader.
