Thank you so much! That's one of the four Judge Dee books that are not available via University of Chicago Press in the US, so I'm happy to see it at all, and for £0.99 is even nicer. Now I will have my fingers crossed for the other three: The Chinese Bell Murders, The Chinese Nail Murders, and The Chinese Lake Murders.

And it's on sale at Kobo UK too: https://www.kobo.com/gb/en/ebook/the...gold-murders-1

It's the fourth in his series of books featuring Judge Dee.
ADD: Oh, and if you like the Judge Dee books, there are also now a couple of continuation Judge Dee books, written by Qiu Xiaolong, who is probably better known for his excellent Inspector Chen series. I had a review copy of the second one, Conspiracies of the Empire, and liked it a lot, even though it had a slightly different feel, since Judge Dee is now a more senior (very senior) official and more politically active than he was in the Van Gulik books. But they are super-expensive, so cross your fingers for your library! As always, if you want to see my full review, it's on my blog...
