The attachment shows the largest few files on my system. EPUBCheck accounts for a lot of them.
On mine, the EpubCheck plugin directory accounts for 30MB and the CheckBook plugin (EpubCheck & ACE) directory and .zip file account for 69MB. Since EpubCheck downloads the actual epucheck code, the .zip file is a lot smaller while CheckBook .zip file includes the epubcheck code and the ACE code so the .zip file is about the same size as the compressed directory.

Since I have not used CheckBook in quite a while, I removed it from the Plugins preferences and the backup file shrank to 71MB. Looking at the plugins folder, the epubcheck stuff was still left in the CheckBooks directory so I manually removed it and the backup size dropped to 41.5MB.
