Hospital Gowns
Why on earth do we still have those archaic gowns (at least at my local hospital); open in the back; straps to tie them at the neck and waist area.
In I went today for that joyous procedure; the colonoscopy.
So not only did I have to consume 4liters of some terrible beverage last evening resulting in an uncountable number of washroom visits; this on top of no solid food yesterday (just had some consome), but then when I get to the hospital had to change into the gown after removing everything but my socks, and then try to tie the straps, which I couldn't do so had to find a stranger to know them for me.
After waiting attired like that for what must have been 30 minutes in a waitibng room, finally got called in to the next waiting area where at least I go to lie on a bed with the luxury of a thin blanket over me!
Why can't we have gowns with maybe velcro fastening in the back, or something that at least provides a bit of dignity.
