On Windows and maybe Mac. Not on Linux.
OTOH unless you have a Scribe there is limited value to KFX.
I agree about not implementing KFX; reading a book is better use of time than implementing KFX unless you are madly into the Scribe, Linux and don't want to connect to Amazon.
I now only use my Kindles either for testing or #ID for D&T, so I personally have no interest in KFX. If an ordindary epub2 works in AZW3, the delivered KFX by Amazon to customers will "work".
I was just curious because a couple of years ago before I lost interest in KFX, I went to install KFX plugin and found it needed Amazon programs.
