I know Win 11's taskbar mandates the taskbar SHALL be on the bottom edge, and that it SHALL be centered. I've had my taskbar on the left edge for longer than most of M$'s script kiddies have been alive. The News and interests icon has also gone AWOL… or I should say its gone coy.
There is a setting in Win 11 to move the start menu and icons to the left.
