That is a rather interesting question. WinterBreak does require the device to be registered. If the previous owner still has it registered, that may be good enough for WinterBreak. The other possibility is that you can't register it since it was reported as lost or stolen and it is blacklisted in which case WinterBreak can't be used.

If the screen is 6"/15cm diagonal, it's a PW4 (10th gen) or earlier. If the screen is 6.8"/17.3cm, it would be a PW5 (11th gen) and would have a USB-C port.
