So reset my kindle to its factory setting and set it up again. And now when after I installed the winterbreak and want to move on to hotfix (which asks me to) and I add the file "Update_hotfix_universal.bin" to my kindled as per instructions, I can't update the kindle no matter how often I try.
I follow all the steps and can't explain why it wouldn't work. However, one thing that is weird is, that I have a file called " kindle feedback" on my kindle now and it won't disappear even after the factory reset. I did not have this before and can't delete it...
Maybe someone has an idea why I can't update and run the hotfix
Thank you.

All I can think of is that you renamed the OTA binaries to disable them and never re-enabled them before the factory reset. That would block updates from being installed.
If you installed a hf version of KOReader, you need to be on firmware 5.16.3 or higher.
