I've noticed that there's TCL NxtPaper 4.0 to be released soon, and also that there are some RLCD devices. Should I care about those?

Also speaking of TCL NxtPaper screens I wonder how are they different from other tables/phones with matte screens or even matte screen covers for glossy screens(like hydrogel). I know they do have blue light filters built-in but wouldn't enabling "comfort view"(or how it's called) or changing color profiles through third-party software give similar effect?
