I looked closer.
You do need to install a Bionic Reading font. BUT ALSO the source text has to be converted to use it!
You can't enable it just with a font and suitable font support.

It's not just initial letters, but can be the initial part of a word.

In theory you don't actually need the Bionic Reading font at all. It's just icing, cosmetic.
